Reasons to be Cheerful

1) It's Friday!

2) My new patterns arrived.  I tried to be restrained and not buy things that I already have versions of somewhere, but I wasn't completely sensible as - surprise - they are all dress patterns.

Vogue 1287 DKNY dress

McCall's 6163 Knit mock wrap dress

3) Most excitingly, Spring is here!  At least for the weekend, so here I am on our roof wearing my new dress while I can.

I've started on a (possibly wearable) muslin of the twisty waistband skirt from March Burda (#128) so look out for that next.

  7. I like your pattern picks, too. I especially like the asymmetrical neckline on the first one, the Vogue.
Your blue dress is glorious, and I am with you on the Friday & end of winter cheer.

  8. You look amazing in that dress. I love that shade of blue. And stop with the lovely patterns, please. My to do list is long enough and I've just added the McCall's knit dress to it! Sigh!

  10. Love the Vogue dress. I recently made the McCalls mock wrap dress. My fabric was a little stretchy/limp/cheap and it sags in the front. I suggest that you use some swimwear elastic to avoid this.

  12. Dress looks gorgeous on you! It really is surprisingly be-sleeved, pleasantly so. It's definitely on the list for Spring/Summer. Meanwhile, it turned back to winter here over the weekend and early this week. :( I'm hoping it's just the last gasp.
