What I'm working on...

I'm currently working on this simple shift dress from the February issue of Burda - 124.  It's incredibly easy and coming together fast so I should be able to post about that tomorrow.  I'm calling it my Carolyn dress in honour of the blogger who taught me about the endless possibilities of a TNT dress.
In other exciting, but scary news we have bought a flat here in Hong Kong.  Property prices have dived but are still insane so we will be moving from 2500 sq ft rental to a little over 1,000 sq ft.  I expect that sounds tiny to you guys, and it does to me too!  The move will mean a huge amount of decluttering is needed so I have been on a mission these last few days.  Now you won't appreciate this as much as me, having not seen the before pictures, but trust me, my sewing cupboard and wardrobe have been transformed!  Still lots to do but I will try not to let that get in the way of sewing!

And last but definitely not least, a big thank you to Josie and E for nominating my little old blog for the Kreativ Blogger award.  Check out their great blogs here;

  1. Congratulations, how exciting!!! I am afraid cleaning out has overtaken my sewing...that and the heat. So where abouts in HK will you be going? The same area you are in now?

  3. What a great pattern. I agree, you need to have a go-to pattern.

    As for your new digs, how exciting! Hong Kong! As a slightly OCD person, hee, hee, I love the pix of your closets. Life is great when it's organized. LOL.

  4. LOL! Thanks for naming the dress in my honor! And I live in 1300 square feet and it seems like plenty...organization is definitely the way to go!

  5. Property ownership is fantastic! I live in about 1100 square feet, but it's just me so that makes thing easier. It doesn't seem small at all for a big city. Downsizing is good, though unpleasant when going on. Can't wait to see the dress!

  7. That closet looks just like my Branksom Towers closets! Are you on May Road? Or in Happy Valley!
    I know that closet!

  9. Congratulations on the big move! I live in under 1000 square feet, so I feel your pain. You look so much more organized in your current place than I do in half the space, so I think you're going to be ok. :)

  10. You can do it! I like little places. They're easy to clean and a good excuse to splurge on nice organizing stuff, because they will be visible (as opposed to iffy crates and baskets that end up tucked behind a door in a bigger place). Having lived in Asia for 5 years I can attest to that!
